What happens during a session?
You start with a goal or issue you wish to change or influence. The intake discussion takes place with the conscious mind, and there is agreement about what change is desired. Then the conscious mind is gradually led into a deep state of focused relaxation. Though you are induced into trance to access the subconscious, you are always in control. While in this state, the hypnotherapist is the guide, but you control the journey.
Is hypnosis recognized as a form of treatment?
Hypnosis was recognized as a complimentary healing modality by the British Medical Association in 1955, the American Medical Association in 1958, and the American Psychiatric Association in 1961. It works very well along side other forms of treatment such as psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy and medical procedures. Hypnosis is used in hospitals throughout the world and can be successfully utilized during certain surgeries and in dental offices.
Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is absolutely safe and most people feel relaxed, refreshed and soothed afterwards. There is always a debrief after a session.
Will I remember what happened during the session?
Yes, you will remember everything. The effects of the session often continue to unfold as you recall parts of it
Will I lose control of my mind and will under trance?
You will be aware of what is going on during the whole session and will not do anything that is not in conformity with your will. No secrets will inadvertently slip out and you will not do anything that you don’t want to do. You are always in control.
