How Does Hypnotherapy Work?
The subconscious mind is responsible for 90-95% of our thoughts and actions. The subconscious is a deeper-seated, more instinctive part of the mind which has life-long programming instilled in it. When it is addressed directly while in trance, it can accept and act on suggestions for change on specific issues or concerns.
The Truth About Hypnosis
What happens during a session?
You start with a goal or issue you wish to change or influence. The intake discussion takes place with the conscious mind, and there is agreement about what change is desired. Then the conscious mind is gradually led into a deep state of focused relaxation. Though you are induced into trance to access the subconscious, you are always in control. While in this state, the hypnotherapist is the guide, but you control the journey.
Is hypnosis recognized as a form of treatment?
Hypnosis was recognized as a complimentary healing modality by the British Medical Association in 1955, the American Medical Association in 1958, and the American Psychiatric Association in 1961. It works very well along side other forms of treatment such as psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy and medical procedures. Hypnosis is used in hospitals throughout the world and can be successfully utilized during certain surgeries and in dental offices.
Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is absolutely safe and most people feel relaxed, refreshed and soothed afterwards. There is always a debrief after a session.
Will I remember what happened during the session?
Yes, you will remember everything. The effects of the session often continue to unfold as you recall parts of it
Will I lose control of my mind and will under trance?
You will be aware of what is going on during the whole session and will not do anything that is not in conformity with your will. No secrets will inadvertently slip out and you will not do anything that you don’t want to do. You are always in control.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a psychotherapeutic tool that is loosely related to Acupuncture but there are no needles, just tapping on the same body meridians. Psychotherapists believed that a negative emotion was caused by some traumatic or negative event or long held memory. With EFT, the process was more like this: A thought or memory triggers a disruption in the body’s energy system which is then experienced as psychological or physical pain. By tapping on the meridian points while saying the negative event details until they clear, the power of the negative event diminishes or ends altogether.
People are often surprised at how quickly they find relief because there is no precedent for this type of healing.
How will EFT improve my life?
By applying EFT to your life you can shift from feeling negative about something to feeling balanced. Threats, insecurities, fears, emotional overwhelm and even physical pain can be brought under your control.
Can I use EFT myself?
EFT is best learned from a practitioner and then, with practice, it becomes a powerful tool for emotional and physical distress. No matter where you are you will always have it with you.
What is Matrix Reimprinting?
Matrix Reimprinting is a form of EFT that incorporates regression therapy. Past negative memories are held as pictures or holograms in your body-field. Until you transform them you keep tuning into them on a subconscious level and they affect your health and wellbeing. Using Matrix you are able to change the pictures and create both physical and emotional healing. And by tapping on the meridians at the same time, the process is accelerated. Instead of feeling upset, defeated, afraid or just weakened in some way whenever you are reminded (consciously or subconsciously) of an aspect of your past, you perceive the same situation from a strong and empowered place. Thus you can embrace opportunities and find solutions to challenges. By rewriting your past, you can change your present, and thus your future.
How is Matrix Reimprinting different from EFT?
With EFT, tapping on meridian points is used to take the emotional intensity out of a specific past memory. What you are left with is to be able to recall your most traumatic and stressful life memories without any emotional disruption or stress, which is obviously extremely useful, as negative past memories keep the body in a state of stress. However, with Matrix Reimprinting the memory is actually transformed. You can go into any past memory, say and do what you wished you’d said and done, bring in new resources, and create and transform the picture you have of that memory.
What happens at a Reiki session?
The person receiving Reiki remains fully clothed and lies on a comfortable table while the Reiki practitioner lightly places hands in various positions on or near the body. The person usually experiences relaxation and peacefulness during the session.
How is it used?
Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose energy has become unbalanced. Reiki does not replace, but rather is easily integrated with any medical treatment and other therapies to assist in activating a persons inner healing potential. Reiki is now being used in a growing number of hospitals and clinics in the United States and throughout the world.
